Located on the Tay River, southwest of Ottawa, Perth is a town in Eastern Ontario. The city is the seat of Lanark County. The downtown core of the city consists of a number of restaurants, boutiques, and specialty shops, including farmers and craft markets, a flea market, and antiques. Full of heritage, the core of the city consists of mostly century-old stone buildings. Perth is also home to Links O’Tay Golf course which is Canada’s oldest continuously operating golf course, opened in 1890. The city is also known for having the oldest active town band in Canada.
