The Kawartha Lakes regional chair is at Lindsay, but also includes the communities of Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Omemee, and Woodville. Despite its proximity to Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes is a distinct region with its own history and heritage, and this area still has a strong farming community in a way that many regions of Ontario do not. Kawartha Lakes is also a cottaging area, and we have visited it’s many gorgeous lakes and rural roads in the region which are popular for summer and fall drives in sports cars and motorcycle touring.
