Casey Dorey

Casey is an associate lawyer and Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation at Bergeron Clifford LLP. He works primarily in Kingston but travels across Eastern Ontario.

He obtained his LL.B from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, with First Class Honours and was awarded the exclusive Canadian Spring Scholarship. While in law school, Casey was a Moot Court champion and represented the University externally in London, England.

Casey has successfully argued cases before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Small Claims Court.  He has also represented clients before the Ontario Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, License Appeal Tribunal and Social Security Tribunal.

Casey currently serves as a Regional Representative on the Executive Committee with the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) as well as the Board of Directors of ThinkFirst Kingston.  He has also presented at various legal conferences across the province.

Casey is the coach of the Queens University, Faculty of Law Moot team that competes in the annual Arnup Cup Moot Competition at the Federal Court in Toronto and consisting of all law schools in Ontario. He also leads a tutorial in the Introduction to Legal Skills course at Queen’s University, Faculty of Law.
