Lorraine MacFarlane has been involved in the insurance industry since 1994 primarily in the area of motor vehicle accident claims. She was employed for 11 years with one of the major auto insurance companies as an Accident Benefits Claim Representative and Accident Benefits Supervisor for the Kingston/Ottawa area. Following her career with the insurance company she spent 4 years as an Accident Benefits consultant for various legal representatives in the Kingston/Belleville area. She joined Bergeron Clifford LLP in October 2009 as a Licensed Paralegal and Law Clerk.

Lorraine has developed a specialty in the area of Accident Benefits and Catastrophic Impairment claims.

Lorraine graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She obtained her Chartered Insurance Professional (C.I.P.) through the Insurance Institute of Ontario in October 2005 and her paralegal license in March 2008.

Lorraine has a particular interest and expertise in helping people with disputes with their automobile insurers. She conducts Mediations and Pre-Arbitrations hearings with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

Lorraine continues to participate in continued education programs with the Law Society of Canada and the Insurance Institute of Ontario.
