Drunk driver sued by family of victims killed in crash

When a driver chooses to get behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated, that person puts him or herself and others at risk of serious injuries. Causing a drunk driving collision is bad enough if there are injuries, but when people are killed, families are left reeling. That’s what happened in this crash, which resulted in the death of three young children and an elderly family member.

The man who caused the accident has been sued by a family for $25 million following a crash in which his actions resulted in the deaths of four. The man, who was drunk at the time of the accident, caused the deaths of three children and their grandfather in Ontario. Their relatives are now suing him for the loss of their loved ones.

The family filed a lawsuit against the man and his family’s business suggesting that they were responsible for the deaths. The children’s great-grandmother and grandmother were also in the vehicle but survived with serious injuries.

The man, a 29-year-old, ran a stop sign and hit the family’s van at a high speed. His blood alcohol content was two to three times higher than the legal limit at the time of the collision. At the scene, he was clearly impaired, struggling with his balance, urinating on himself, smelling of alcohol and having glassed-over eyes. Since the crash, he’s been sentenced to 10 years in prison for four counts of impaired driving causing death and for two other counts including impaired driving resulting in bodily harm
