It’s not just two-car accidents that can result in criminal charges against a dangerous driver. Families of passengers who were killed in accidents have every righto to seek out a lawsuit to claim compensation for the loss of their loved ones. Your lawyer can help you create a wrongful death claim against the person responsible for your loved one’s fatal car accident.
This is a good example of a crash that didn’t need to happen or have as severe an impact as it did, but a few bad decisions did lead to this very serious accident. The Baie Verte RCMP are looking into the accident that took place on July 1, according to an article from Aug. 17. The police have said that they will be filing charges against a driver for the crash that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man riding in his vehicle, and they are reviewing the case.
The day of the accident, the crash took place on Route 414 close to La Scie. It was around 5:50 p.m. when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a ditch. It hit a rock embankment before coming to a stop.
It wasn’t clear if the men were both buckled in, but the driver, a 21-year-old man, was injured and sent to the hospital. His passenger was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. The investigators arrested the 21-year-old man on a charge for impaired driving causing death. They have said that they found both speed and alcohol use were factors in the collision.
